ICC witness 536 (GRACE NYAKERU GITHUTA) to be ARRESTED next week by ICC after testifying against RUTO

A witness who is testifying in the case facing Deputy President William Ruto at the International Criminal Court (ICC) may be arrested after she ends her testimony next week.

This was revealed on Wednesday by an ICC official who said witness 536 (Grace Nyakeru Githuta) may be arrested on grounds that she has been speaking with Walter Barasa who is alleged to behind a cartel of people who were bribing witnesses to withdraw from Ruto’s case.

The official spoke after ICC issued an arrest warrant to Barasa who is accused of bribing and intimidating witnesses in Ruto case.

Barasa, a journalist based in Eldoret has been communicating with Grace Githuta and ICC has telephone records showing that indeed the two were working on a plot ashame the ICC court.

It is alleged that Barasa was in contact with Grace Githuta, who was requesting for his help to withdraw from Ruto’s case.

Barasa is alleged to have offered her Sh 1.4 million if she withdraws from Ruto’s case.

The official said this is a matter of secrecy but it will be open to the public when Grace finishes her testimony.
